Publisher’s note: I first began reporting on events and exhibits at The Pickens County Museum in 1999, when I was hired as the Editor of The Pickens Sentinel newspaper. The Pickens County Museum of Art & History is a valuable asset to our county, as are all of the museums in our county. I love museums and have visited numerous museums all across the United States (in the Northeast, the South, the Midwest, and the West). I think it’s important to value our own history and the arts right here in Pickens County.
