The opening reception for Firelocks of the American Revolution (from the personal collection of Ken Nabors, of the Pickens County Historical Society) will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Pickens County Museum of Art & History.
The Ken Nabors collection features examples of rifles, pistols, powder horns, and other objects from the Revolutionary period. During the American Revolution, flintrock rifles stood as both a practical tool of war and a symbol of the colonists’ determination to secure independence.
On September 6, meet Ken Nabors and people in Revolutionary era clothing. Free refreshments will be provided.
