Town of Six Mile, Semper Fi Barn, and Fort Prince George DAR Chapter commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Ceremony remembers 24 South Carolinians (two from Pickens County, Harold Duncan and Fred Gillespie) who perished on D-Day. World War II veterans Ralph Conte (who fought on D-Day), Raymond Dawkins, Fred Munk, and Edward Zeigler are honored.
