Six Mile Elementary School celebrates the opening of new wing that adds 15,000 square feet of space for early childhood programs
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Six Mile Elementary held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new addition. Construction on this new wing began in 2023. The wing adds 15,000 square feet of space to house early childhood programs, including three-year-old and four-year-old kindergarten, preschool special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
School District Superintendent Danny Merck is pictured cutting the ribbon for the school’s new wing. Also pictured are Six Mile Mayor James Atkinson and school officials.
