Here are more details on the Upstate Field of Honor, to be held at the Dacusville Pavilion and field at the Dacusville Community Center, located at 2671 Earls Bridge Road.

On Saturday, August 31, the Upstate Field of Honor Opening Ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Walk through the more than 200 flags that have been sponsored by the community in honor of our heroes. Bring chairs for you and your family, as seating in the Pavilion is extremely limited.

On Wednesday, September 4, a county-wide prayer meeting, with ministers and music, will be held at 6 p.m.

On Thursday, September 5, country and bluegrass music will begin at 6 p.m.

Saturday, September 7 is game day for children from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

On Sunday, September 8, choirs from various churches will be singing from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Afterward, Quilts of Valor will present five quilts to four brothers and their first cousin.

On Wednesday, September 11, the closing ceremony will be held at 5 p.m.
