Sleep in Heavenly Peace holds bed build in Easley on Saturday, February 22
By Karen Brewer, Publisher & Editor
Volunteers with the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Easley chapter held a public bed build in the parking lot of Lowe’s in Easley the morning of Saturday, February 22 and built beds for local children in need. Chlidren and adult volunteers worked to sand, drill, assemble, stain, and dry 20 beds.
Several hundred children in Pickens County can now sleep in beds of their own, thanks to volunteers with Sleep in Heavenly Peace and those who donate money or twin-sized sheets, pillows, and bedding items.
Anyone who is interested in joining in the next public bed build, or anyone who is interested in applying for a bed, or interested in donating to the organization, may click here to visit their website for more information. No experience is necessary to join in a bed build, and all tools are supplied.
