Semper Fi Barn to remember the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima

The Semper Fi Barn, a Veteran Retreat in Six Mile, will remember the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima, which was fought February 19 through March 26, 1945.

Every day between 6:00 p.m. and 6:10 p.m., from February 19, 2025 through March 26, 2025, Semper Fi Barn will remember soldiers who fought in one of the bloodiest battles in Marine Corps history (those killed and all who fought, as well as their families and friends), by hanging a dog tag in memorial, including a specially designated gold dog tag for Medal of Honor recipients.

Semper Fi Barn is seeking veterans, volunteers, corporate sponsors, or interested families to stop by to be a part of this special time when a dog time is hung and to remember or reflect upon their sacrifice.

Contact Semper Fi Barn by email at SemperFiBarn@gmail.com or call 864-643-9197.

Semper Fi Barn is located at 314 Furman L. Smith Memorial Highway.
