The Pickens County Museum of Art & History to host reception for "Play of Light" on Saturday, February 1 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Pickens County Museum of Art & History will host the opening reception for “Play of Light” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 1. This event is free and open to all. Come meet the artist, Terry Trambauer Norris, and enjoy free refreshments provided by the Pickens County Museum Foundation.

“Play of Light” showcases the delicate beauty of everyday moments through a fusion of oil paintings and photography. This exhibition highlights the intricate details of objects we often overlook, bringing them into sharp, contemplative view. With vibrant brushstrokes and striking photographic compositions, each piece invites the viewer to pause and appreciate the quiet elegance found in the simplest of subjects. It’s a celebration of light, texture, and the art of seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary.

The exhibit will be on display through March 15.

The Pickens County Museum of Art & History is located at 307 Johnson Street, across from Pickens City Hall.
