Meal train, donations to assist Helping Hands of Clemson

By Karen Brewer, Publisher & Editor

Due to the sprinkler system at Helping Hands freezing and bursting, causing flooding and making the kitchen unusable, a meal train has been set up to help feed the 15 teenage boys and five adult staff members, who are staying in the activity center behind the Helping Hands home.

Here is the link to information on the meal train.

Meals may be taken to Helping Hands of Clemson, located at 3109 Old Greenville Highway in Central. Preferred drop-off times are at 8 a.m. (for breakfast), and noon, and 5 p.m. The gravel driveway on the right may be used to go to the activity center.

In addition to the meal train, donations are accepted due to the flooding damage. Checks may be mailed to PO Box 561, Clemson, SC  29633.

Phone lines are currently not working, but Helping Hands may be reached by cell at 864-765-1799.
