Clemson University to honor Juneteenth at Fort Hill on Thursday, June 19

Clemson University will observe and honor the Juneteenth holiday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025. The community is invited to join for a day of festivities, including tours, food, and activities that honor this important day. The event is free and open to the public.

 

From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., a tour will be given of the Fort Hill Plantation House. From 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., there will be a Call My Name tour. Children’s story time and hands-on craft time will be from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.  Refreshments will be served at 11:45 a.m. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., there will be the reading of the names of enslaved persons liberated at Fort Hill and Flowers of Remembrance Activity.

 

Fort Hill is located at 520 Fort Hill Street on the Clemson campus.
