Field of Honor to be hosted in Dacusville Labor Day weekend through September 11

The Dacusville Community Club and the Foothills Civitan Club will sponsor an awe-inspiring panorama of United States flags displayed in a solemn formation from Labor Day weekend through September 11, 2024 at the Dacusville Community Center, 2671 Earls Bridge Rd., Easley, SC 29640.

“Honoring Our Heroes” is a perfect tribute which will create a stirring display of flags honoring our military and first responders. As Americans, our flag represents us, our pride, our history, and the many challenges we have encountered, overcome, and continue to face each day. We can proudly say the flag of the United States of America continues to stand for the freedom fought for by our people.

Each flag will be sponsored by the community through personal purchase of our flags honoring a loved one, corporate sponsorships, and support by donations, creating a patriotic tribute to remember and pay tribute to our many heroes.

Our Stars and Stripes stands for the solidarity of the American people and reminds us who we are, our history and the many lives given to keep us strong and safe. These flags create a moving display of our strengths and unites us, giving us faith for a brighter future for our next generation. Each United States flag will represent an individual, their family, and their personal stories, including their lives and the hardships they faced.

This experience will be hard to describe but never be forgotten as you and your family walk down the many rows of flags.

We invite you all to witness the patriotic display free of charge at the Upstate Field of Honor, knowing each flag is lovingly given in support of our nation and the men and women who make it strong.
