The grand opening of the Sincerely, Daniel exhibit will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 6 p.m. at the Clemson Area African American Museum. The exhibit celebrates 50 years of black student athletic achievements at D.W. Daniel High School from 1964 to 2014.
Sincerely, Daniel: A Celebration of Black Athletic Excellence is an immersive exhibit dedicated to honoring the remarkable achievements of black athletes from D.W. Daniel High School. Spanning the pivotal years of 1964 to 2014, this exhibit brings to life the stories of individuals who excelled in a wide range of sports, including football, track and field, cheerleading, basketball, and more. This exhibit goes beyond simply displaying memorabilia. It aims to create an immersive experience that presents historical context, placing the athletes’ achievements within the broader social and cultural landscape of the time.
The Clemson Area African American Museum (CAAAM), located at 214 Butler Street in Clemson, is one of the leading cultural institutions in the city of Clemson and the only museum in Pickens County devoted to local African American history.
