Pickens First Baptist hosts Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build for children in need

By Karen Brewer, Publisher

Local citizens volunteered with the Easley Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for local children in need. The event was held the morning of Saturday, October 12, 2024, rescheduled from an earlier date, June 6, when it rained. The bed build was hosted by Pickens First Baptist Church and was held at the Legacy Square parking lot across the street from the church.

Several hundred children in Pickens County now sleep in beds of their own, thanks to volunteers who donate their time and those who have donated funds and materials.
