Multiple agencies have continued the search for missing hiker Stephanie Womacks at Table Rock State Park in Pickens South Carolina. First responders continue to flood the woods in organized grid searches, with nearly 100 participants on Wednesday, 74 on Thursday, 87 on Friday, and 91 today, Saturday, March 8. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has continued to provide resources including a helicopter from the aviation unit. South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) has provided a dive team, water sonar searches, and additional drones to supplement county resources.
Agencies involved in the efforts so far are the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, Pickens County Emergency Services, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County Emergency Management, Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, Greenville County Emergency Response Team, Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Oconee County Emergency Services, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, South Carolina State Park Service, South Carolina Taskforce 1 and 6, Spartanburg County Search and Rescue, Foothills Search and Rescue, Carolina K9 Search and Rescue, and Carolina K9 Tactical Search and Rescue.
Multiple K9’s, drones, and aviation have been utilized daily.
Multiple family members are on location and are fully cooperative with all aspects of this operation.
