Join the Town of Six Mile for the Semiquincentennial Independence Day celebration at the Gene Sanders Sports Complex at Ponderosa Park on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Additional parking and shuttle service will be provided by Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church.
Come enjoy an evening of patriotic celebration, family fun, and community spirit as we honor 250 years of American independence and this historic milestone together. Our annual children’s bicycle parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be a hula hoop contest, sack races, tug-of-war competition, and a balloon twister for the kids.
One Armed Smoker BBQ food truck, Stoney’s Creation Station’s dirty sodas & drink truck, and The Scoop Ice Cream Shop will be on site along with Six Mile Snacks at our concession stand with snow cones, hot dogs, popcorn, and other goodies.
Music will be by Matt Mustang Entertainment.
After dark, we will feature a spectacular drone show showcasing two winning student-designed displays from our community design contest, featuring two of the following: the Six Mile Elementary Eagles, the Daniel Lions, or the Clemson Tigers. The winning student designs will remain a surprise until they are revealed in the night sky during the drone show.
This event is proudly sponsored by the Town of Six Mile and MetroCon.
