School District announces district finalists for Teacher of the Year
The School District of Pickens County is thrilled to announce the 2025–2026 School District of Pickens County District Teacher of the Year Finalists.
This year, the district received more applications than ever before, with an incredible group of educators nominated by their peers. Thank you to every Teacher of the Year candidate—your passion and impact are seen and celebrated across our district.
These four finalists were first honored as Teachers of the Year at their individual schools. To be selected as a district finalist from such a strong field is a tremendous accomplishment, and we are proud to recognize their outstanding work in the classroom and beyond.
Lindsey Douglas – Media Specialist at D.W. Daniel High School
Cullen Finley – Reading Coach at Clemson Elementary
Elizabeth Gunnels – Fifth Grade Teacher at Liberty Elementary
Shannon Wood – Spanish & Teacher Cadet Instructor at Easley High School
