SCDOT to conduct lane closures for SC-183 improvement project
The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced June 9 that it is conducting lane closures along SC-183 as part of the 2026 Pickens County Pavements Improvement Project, which started this week.
Weather dependent, crews will make several modifications along SC-183 to include paving, milling, resurfacing, guardrail installation, and other related improvements from 6 a.m.- dusk through September.
SCDOT encourages drivers to slow down, remain alert, and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the work zones.
