Hagood Mill Historic Site is pleased to announce the return of the Rolling Waterwheel Gospel Revue on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event promises a full day filled with the uplifting sounds of hymns and songs of faith echoing across the historic grounds.
This year’s gospel music lineup features an outstanding slate of performers, including: Danielle Yother & Peyton O’Kelley, Barrow & Caroline Wheary, The Legendary James Brothers, and Last Road Bluegrass Band.
Experience the sights and sounds of Appalachian tradition as the historic 1845 water-powered gristmill operates throughout the day, producing fresh stone-ground grains available for purchase. One of the finest examples of nineteenth-century technology still in operation in the Upcountry, the mill continues to grind corn much as it has for more than 180 years.
Guests can also enjoy a quality artisan market, delicious offerings from food vendors, and a full slate of folklife and traditional-arts demonstrations, including blacksmithing, weaving, flintknapping, pottery, quilting, spinning, woodworking, leatherworking, and more. Visitors can meet the artists, ask questions, and purchase handmade traditional crafts.
Admission is $7 for guests ages 10 and up, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free. Admission includes access to Hagood Mill Historic Site and the Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site, home to one of the Southeast’s most significant collections of Native American petroglyphs. Parking is free.
The Hagood Mill Historic Site is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gristmill operates rain or shine on the third Saturday of every month.
Come celebrate faith, tradition, and community in the heart of the South Carolina mountains.
