Join the City of Pickens for a once-in-a-generation celebration honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States at the Pickens Independence Day Celebration – America 250 on Friday, July 3 from noon to 9:30 p.m. at the Pickens amphitheater and downtown Pickens.
Experience an unforgettable day filled with patriotism, history, music, family fun, food, and fireworks as our community comes together to celebrate 250 years of American independence.
Kids Zone opens at noon.
Food trucks and beverages will be available beginning at noon.
Living History Demonstrators : noon to 3 p.m.
Step back in time and explore what life was like during the Revolutionary War era with interactive living history demonstrations featuring period clothing, historical displays, and reenactors sharing stories and traditions from America’s founding days.
Patriotic Presentation 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Join us at the Amphitheater stage for a special patriotic program honoring America’s history, freedom, and those who have served our nation.
Live Music Schedule:
3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.| Torn: High-energy rock and party favorites guaranteed to get the crowd moving and kick off the celebration in style.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Song Band: A talented variety band performing crowd-favorite hits spanning multiple decades and genres for all ages to enjoy.
7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Grateful Brothers: Bringing classic rock, Southern rock, and jam-band inspired performances to close out the evening with an unforgettable show.
Fireworks 9:30 p.m./ dusk
As the sun sets, we’ll cap off the evening with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the Pickens sky. As usual, the fireworks will be launched from Bruce Field and will be viewable from the Pickens Amphitheater and throughout downtown Pickens.
