Funeral services for Senator Lindsey Graham will be held Tuesday, July 28 in Washington, D.C and Wednesday, July 29 in Columbia, South Carolina, followed by a private burial service in Pickens County.

On Tuesday, July 28, Senator Graham’s body will be carried into the United States Capitol building by an Armed Forces Body Bearer Team, in recognition of his service in the United States Air Force. In the Rotunda, the Armed Forces Body Bearer Team will be replaced by a United States Capitol Police Memorial Guard, in recognition of his service in the United States Senate. A short program, closed to the public, will be available for viewing by livestream.

Next, Senator Graham’s body will depart to the Washington National Cathedral for a funeral service at 2 p.m. The invitation-only service will be available to watch by livestream on the Washington National Cathedral’s website or YouTube page.

Senator Graham’s body will arrive in South Carolina Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday, July 29, Senator Graham’s body will arrive at the South Carolina State House about 10:45 a.m. The public is invited to pay their respects along the procession route. The funeral procession will begin on the South side of the State House to the North side via the West Walkway. His body will be carried by the South Carolina State Guard caisson detachment. Law enforcement from agencies across the state will be present on the North steps of the State House. A brief pause will be followed by an F-16 flyover by the 169^th Fighter Wing from McEntire Joint National Guard Base at about 11 a.m. The caisson will proceed down Main Street and will arrive at First Baptist Church of Columbia. Seating inside First Baptist Church of Columbia is on a first-come, first-served basis.

A private burial will take place on Wednesday, July 29 in Pickens County.
