Friends of the Pickens County Library System's annual meeting to feature The Sweet Potato Pie Kids
Members of the community are invited to join the Friends of the Library for their annual meeting, featuring a lively performance by the Sweet Potato Pie Kids band. Everyone is invited. Come enjoy the music, and discover what the Friends of the Library is all about. At 6:30 p.m., enjoy light refreshments. At 7 p.m., The Sweet Potato Pie Kids will perform, and then a short business meeting will include officer elections and a presentation of this year’s Friends achievements.
The Sweet Potato Pie Kids is a band made up of Young Appalachian Musicians (YAM) students who perform to bring awareness and raise funds for the YAM program, a branch of Preserving Our Southern Appalachian Music (POSAM).
