Forest Fest — to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 — is more than just an event—it’s an opportunity to connect with nature, learn from experts, and experience the Clemson University Forest in a whole new way.

 

Forest Fest showcases research, education and recreation throughout the Forest, bringing together nature enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers and conservationists for a day of hands-on activities, guided tours and family-friendly fun.

 

Whether you’re passionate about wildlife, forestry, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, Forest Fest has something for everyone.

Event Highlights

  • Guided Nature Walks & Hikes – Explore the diverse ecosystems of the Blue Ridge and Piedmont regions within the Forest with expert-led tours.

  • Outdoor Recreation Demos – Try mountain biking, bird watching, and horseback riding while learning about responsible recreation and conservation.

  • Hands-On Learning for Students – Clemson students gain meaningful skill-building experiences, preparing them for careers in natural resources, forestry, wildlife, recreation, and youth development.

  • Educational Booths & Workshops – Learn from Clemson faculty, industry professionals, and government agencies about sustainable land management, ecosystem conservation, and the role of prescribed fire.
