By Karen Brewer, Publisher & Editor

The Foothills Civitan Club announced on Thursday, July 31, 2025 that the Field of Honor will return this September to honor our American heroes with a field of American flags. This year’s location has been changed to 1308 Griffin Mill Road, in a field between the School District of Pickens County district office and the Pickens County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs.

To sponsor a flag in memory of a friend or loved one at $40, or to become an event sponsor beginning at $100, visit The Field of Honor’s official website at https://www.healingfield.org/event/easley-sc/.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Pickens County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs.

The Field of Honor event will be held September 5 through September 11 and will be free for anyone to attend. The closing ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 11.
