Easley will have the honor of seeing The Wall That Heals as it begins its journey to Liberty. The official escort will start at noon on Tuesday, May 13 at Rock Springs Baptist Church and will travel down Highway 123 on its way to its destination, Deer Wood Farms, located at 765 Breazeale Road in Liberty.

This traveling, three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. is a powerful tribute to the more than 58,000 service members who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War.

This special event also features a Mobile Education Center, sharing the history and impact of the Vietnam War, as well as stories of local veterans who served.

Admission is free, and it will be open 24 hours, closing on Sunday, May 18 at 2 p.m.
