City of Easley to celebrate independence Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4
The City of Easley will celebrate 250 years of independence on Friday, July 3 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 4 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Old Market Square.
The two days of free family fun in historic downtown Easley will include free carnival rides, live music, food and drink vendors, craft vendors, America 250 Kids’ Zone, and fireworks (Saturday, July 4 at about 9:30 p.m.).
To make room for carnival rides, vendors, and all the fun, a few parking areas in downtown Easley will be temporarily closed: part of Old Market Square will close Thursday, July 2 at 6 a.m. The rest of Old Market Square will close Friday, July 3 at 10 a.m. ‘No Parking’ signs will begin going up Tuesday, June 30, so, if you normally park in these areas, be sure to move your vehicle before the posted closure times to avoid being towed. Need a place to park? Parking will still be available in the lot behind the gazebo/fountain, along with other public parking lots and street parking throughout downtown Easley.
