Sweet Potato Pie Kids to perform at YAM End-of-Year Concert and Award Show on Saturday, May 2 at the Hagood Community Center Auditorium
Come to the Hagood Community Center Auditorium in Pickens for the Young Appalachian Musicians (YAM) End-of-Year Concert and Award Show on Saturday, May 2. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the program begins at 5:30 p.m.
Enjoy a full-set performance by the Sweet Potato Pie Kids, the YAM middle school performing band. This special concert will serve as their final performance together before some members age out and new musicians step into the group.
To be recognized Saturday night will be students from across the YAM program who have reached an important milestone by completing the Level 3 Advanced Checklist—the final stage in the YAM curriculum.
It’s an evening of music, celebration, and well-earned recognition you won’t want to miss. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by texting Logan Redding, the band’s director, at 864-508-4212. Tickets will also be available at the door.
