The 2024 Issaqueena Festival was held on Main Street in Six Mile from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. Although the weather forecast called for rain, clear weather prevailed for the event, and a good time was had by all who attended. Children enjoyed several inflatables and games offered at the festival. Vendors were set up on Main Street, and food trucks were available. Local churches offered free water or cotton candy. The official 2024 Issaqueena Festival t-shirt featured artwork by art contest winner Selah Casey. The Sweet Potato Pie Kids were among the performers in the new pavilion, which was recently dedicated to former Mayor Roy Stoddard. Festival attendees enjoyed a car show. Miss Wheelchair South Carolina Kathryn Hicks attended the event, as she does every year in her hometown of Six Mile.
