The Pickens County Chronicle's Publisher has written about Country Santa often through the years, beginning in 1999, when she was the Editor of The Pickens Sentinel, and The Pickens County Chronicle wishes to share this story written those many years ago.

Country Santa is still very much a part of the present, helping many local families at Christmas time. For the 2025 Christmas season, the many drop-off sites for toys include The Open Book in Easley, Easley YMCA, Liberty Elementary School, Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce, Pickens YMCA, the Pickens Village Library, and Crosswell Elementary School
