The Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine also encourages pet owners to be mindful of the impacts of colder temperatures and winter weather on your pets. While South Carolina has a temperate climate, it can get dangerously cold in the winter. Many people travel with their pets during this time of year as well and may not be accustomed to the hazards in colder climates.
