March or Ride for Greenville-Pickens Speedway on August 17

An event is planned for Sunday, August 17 that would show people’s interest in saving the historic Greenville-Pickens Speedway. The ‘March or Ride’ is set for 4:30 p.m., riding on Highway 123 or walking beside Highway 123, in Easley for the purpose of raising awareness to stop the speedway from being demolished. Some signs are being made, but those attending can make signs of their own to carry while walking or can write on the windows of their cars. Those who have Greenville-Pickens Speedway shirts are encouraged to wear them.
