You are cordially invited to join the Pickens County America 250 Committee on August 1, 2025,  as we remember the 249th anniversary of the death of Patriot Francis Salvador. Pickens County historian Dennis Chastain will share the story of  Patriot Salvador’s courage, which earned him the title of “the Jewish Paul Revere” as well as his service and sacrifice as the first Jewish member of the 1st and 2nd South Carolina Provincial Congress and as a soldier who was willing to lay down his life to help forge this great nation.

You don’t want to miss this program.  This event will take place at 3 p.m. in Meeting Room 3 of the Madren Center at Clemson University.  Come hear and see the details of this compelling story from someone who has done extensive research regarding the life and times of Francis Salvador.
