Central Police Department fundraiser to be held Saturday, June 14

On Saturday, June 14, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the community is asked to come out and support the Central Police Department’s Angel Fund and the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club’s 31st Chapter that supports first responders’ families in need due to the death of a spouse.

The main event kicks off at 2 p.m. at the historic Depot. On stage will be the popular band Sinnerville Saints along with the Central Fire Department selling Hamburger and Hotdog Plates for $10. A special thanks to our Central Walmart and Store Manager Alec Salem for being a title sponsor of Central Police Department.

Drawings will be held around 2:30 p.m. for many items on display in the Depot donated by area businesses, including am 85″ Smart TV and Buck collector’s Knife. These tickets are $5 each. There will also be an auction for specialty items, including a Chapter 31 coin board with some donated Chapter coins, Punisher items, etc. It’s going to be an afternoon of fun. Bring your lounge chair. Parking will be available at the Community Park with Golf Cart Shuttles available.

You do not have to be present to win a drawing item. If you are on a motorcycle or in a small car, we will work out details to get larger items to the winner.

Bring the kids out to meet members of the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, who will be coming from around the country to support the event, as well as members of the Central Police Department and Central Fire Department.

If you would like to ride your motorcycle in the pre-event ride, see the flyer for details.

Update:

On June 14 at the Historic Depot, 413 Gaines Street in Central, the SC Norse Chapter of the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and other Punishers from around the country, along with the Central Police Dept and Central Fire Dept, will have an event raising funds for the Central Police Department’s Angel Fund and the Chapter 31 fund that assists First Responders’ families in the event of a tragic loss of life.

With the loss of our K-9 Dia, the Punishers will also be making a special presentation to Police Chief Steve Thompson in memory of Dia. That presentation will take place around 3 p.m. during the event. A live band, drawings, food, drink, games etc will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The registration and ride before the main event will take place 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

We hope everyone will come out for this fun and important event and enjoy the activities and support our Central Police Department.
