Below are pages 93 and 94 from the book Antebellum Old Pickens District, SC, published in 2008 and written by historian Jerry Lamar Alexander, author of several history books and longtime owner and Publisher of The Pickens Sentinel newspaper. Three copies of this book were given in 2008 by Jerry Alexander to Karen Brewer, who worked as the Editor of The Pickens Sentinel from 1999 to 2004 and now owns and works as the Publisher and Editor of The Pickens County Chronicle newspaper.
