On Monday, January 27, 2025, the School District of Pickens County Board of Trustees recognized the following students for their outstanding achievements:

Students from D.W. Daniel High School and R.C. Edwards Middle School were recognized for being selected to participate in the American Choral Directors Association State Honor Choir.

Students from D.W. Daniel High School were selected for the South Carolina Music Educators’ Association All-State Chorus. They were chosen from a rigorous audition process and will travel to Winthrop University in March to sing with nationally recognized conductors.

The following students were selected to attend the American Choral Directors Association National Convention:  Dalena Hafer, Libya Panda, Colt Davis, and Payton Leopard.

Ashby Williams, a student at D.W. Daniel High School, was recognized for winning the 4A Cross Country State Championship in November 2024.
