Most recently, he served as Clemson University Special Assistant to the Provost, during which his expertise and dedication to veterinary education played an instrumental role in developing the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine.
“We are deeply saddened at the loss of Tim Boosinger and are heartbroken for his family,” stated Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Robert H. Jones. “South Carolina and the veterinary community have lost a great leader, teacher, colleague, and friend. His tireless work as an advisor to Clemson resulted in the development of the first veterinary college in the state of South Carolina. His passion for higher education and purpose-driven service to the veterinary discipline will be a lasting legacy.”
He also served Clemson as interim dean of the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences in 2018 and later as interim dean of the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities from 2019 to 2020.
“Dr. Boosinger was a true gentleman, and this is an immense loss to our community and the profession of veterinary medicine. His mentorship and friendship since I arrived at Clemson were invaluable, and the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine at Clemson University would not exist without Tim Boosinger. Tigers Forever,” said Dean of the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine Steven Marks.
