The war reporter: Clemson alumnus was first to tell the world about D-Day
June 6, 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Journalist Wright Bryan, a 1926 Clemson graduate, broadcast the first eyewitness account of the D-Day landings. DAR and SAR dedicate America 250 marker at Old Stone Church in Clemson
The Andrew Pickens and Fort Prince George chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the General Andrew Pickens chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution dedicate an America 250 marker at Old Stone Church to mark the upcoming 250th birthday of the United States. Among the Revolutionary War soldiers buried at Old Stone Church is General Andrew Pickens, for whom our county is named.
